Take Advantage of Ariel

by Odalia Taveras

Ariel is a system that electronically delivers requested articles from other libraries. Faculty and students are really impressed with this system’s efficiency. No need to ignore articles with out full text accessibility ---

Request an article today and it could be here tomorrow!

* Not all colleges use the Ariel system so we cannot guarantee quick delivery on all article requests. Ariel does not apply to book requests, so please allow the standard 5-10 days for book delivery.

* Interlibrary loans can be made by filling out an application at the library, or via email: interlibraryloan@mountsaintvincent.edu

NetLibrary...at your computer soon!

by Martha Kruy

NetLibrary is a new collection of electronic books that will soon be accessible from the Elizabeth Seton Library’s online catalog. Anyone within the College community will be able to read these books directly from their computer screen! These electronic books will be accessible for a specified amount of time.

The Elizabeth Seton Library staff will be holding NetLibrary training for faculty and students shortly . We will be emailing specific information about the time and location.

Professors: Are your articles on reserve 24/7?

by Martha Kruy

Instructors: supply us with a scanned format of the required reading for your courses, and we will place them in our electronic reserve system. Your assigned reading will be accessible from a course folder we create for your specific class. If you don’t have a scanned format, supply us with a print copy and we will scan it for you. If you are interested in learning, we will teach you how to create your own electronic-formatted documents.

We will also accept hyperlinks to electronically published articles in our databases or hyperlinks from the free Internet and place those links in your e-reserves course environment. As an additional service, we can also help you create links to information in our databases and upload articles for your Blackboard courses.

Please call or email Odalia Taveras at extension 3394 or odalia.taveras@mountsaintvincent.edu for more information or create an e-reserves account for your class.
